Tijdens BATAFEST wordt zaal 2.8 op de tweede verdieping van het Batavierhuis omgetoverd tot CINEBATA, een gezellige kleine bioscoop waar korte films, animaties en documentaires van kunstenaars van het Batavierhuis worden vertoond. Gedurende het festival vinden er drie verschillende vertoningen plaats. De filmmakers zullen aanwezig zijn om hun werk te introduceren, een kijkje te geven in het filmproces en samen met het publiek deel te nemen aan een vraag-en-antwoordronde.
Het tweede blok staat in het teken van de film ‘bubble bubble’:
In ‘bubble bubble’ nemen twee schilders, twee muzikanten en twee performers deel aan creatieve één-op-één-blinddates. Elk duo krijgt 2 uur, 22 minuten en 22 seconden de tijd om elkaar te leren kennen en samen een kunstwerk te maken. Wat gebeurt er wanneer kunstenaars uit verschillende bubbels elkaar ontmoeten en met elkaars manier van denken en werken worden geconfronteerd?

During BATAFEST, room 2.8 on the second floor of Batavierhuis will transform into CINEBATA, a cozy little cinema showcasing short films, animations, and documentaries created by Batavierhuis artists. Across the festival, there will be three different screenings. The filmmakers will be present to introduce their work, share insights into the filmmaking process, and join the audience for a Q&A.
