Geboren in Kaapstad, wonend in Nederland, onderzoekt ze de ruimte tussen heimwee en aarding, verlangen en verankering — op zoek naar een plek die zich niet laat benoemen, een thuis dat misschien nergens, en overal, bestaat.
Bewegend tussen voelen en denken neemt ze je mee naar een intieme luisterwereld, waar haar warme stem wordt gedragen door tokkelend gitaarspel, diep gelaagde synths en elektronica. Een wereld waarin het niet-weten (Aporia) langzaam vaste grond krijgt.
Geïnspireerd door artiesten als Adrienne Lenker, Feist, Thom Yorke en Julianna Barwick beweegt Luka tussen indie-pop en elektro-folk. Haar muziek nodigt uit te verstillen en je over te geven aan wat zich niet laat vangen.
Luka writes from the twilight zone, where sight ends and something new and unspoiled begins. Born in Cape Town and living in the Netherlands, she explores the space between homesickness and grounding, longing and rootedness—searching for a place that defies definition, a home that perhaps exists nowhere, and everywhere.
Moving between feeling and thinking, she takes you into an intimate world of sound, where her warm voice is carried by strumming guitar, deeply layered synths, and electronica. A world in which not knowing (Aporia) slowly finds solid ground.
Inspired by artists such as Adrienne Lenker, Feist, Thom Yorke, and Julianna Barwick, Luka moves between indie pop and electro-folk. Her music invites you to quiet your mind and surrender to what cannot be captured.
