Alexandra Alden offers a warm mix of indie folk and synth dreampop, inspired by her British-Maltese background. Born in an artistic family, Alden’s music combines clear folk tradition with Mediterranean warmth. It is the sound of a life in constant motion, where songs are created in differences between nations, homes and chapters, capturing the raw, uncertain beauty of a fleeting existence.
Her new album, titled, ‘when is it too late?’ takes inspiration from Sylvia Plath’s fig tree metaphor and dwells on the uncertainties that emerge as one comes to a crossroads.
On stage, Alden creates an intimate atmosphere with fragile vocals, dreamy guitar work and strong narratives. Sometimes solo, sometimes with band, but her shows always move within the realm indie pop.
