Vanaf september 2026 strijkt de Gitaarsalon neer in het Batavierhuis met een maandelijkse concertserie, helemaal in het teken van de gitaar. Al meer dan 25 jaar is de Gitaarsalon een Nederlands begrip, met een gigantisch Gitaarfestival in het Zuiderzeemuseum en twee concertseries in Enkhuizen.
Er is elke laatste zondag van de maand (wijzigingen voorbehouden) in de middag een prachtig gitaarconcert te bewonderen in het Batavierhuis. Nieuwsgierig naar wat de gitaar allemaal te bieden heeft, en wie de nieuwe beloftes zijn in de gitaarwereld van Nederland? Kom dan eens luisteren en kijken.
Opgegroeid in Brabant en gevormd aan het conservatorium in Rotterdam begon zijn muzikale reis met instrumentale muziek. Juist in die muziek vond hij de vrijheid die hem nog altijd aantrekt: ruimte voor emotie, spontaniteit en verhalen die geen woorden nodig hebben.
Hoewel hij tegenwoordig vooral actief is als gitarist bij Suzan & Freek en jarenlang in verschillende bands speelde, blijft de akoestische gitaar zijn *safe space* en grootste liefde. Die persoonlijke zoektocht kreeg in 2024 vorm in zijn debuutalbum *Safe Space*: een instrumentaal album waarin emotie en verstilling de hoofdrol spelen. Geïnspireerd door gitaristen als Julian Lage, Bryan Sutton en James Taylor zoekt hij naar muziek die zich niet laat vangen door vaste vormen, maar ontstaat vanuit gevoel. Want waar woorden tekortschieten, neemt de gitaar het over.

Starting in September 2026, the Gitaarsalon will be coming to the Batavierhuis with a monthly concert series dedicated entirely to the guitar. For more than 25 years, the Gitaarsalon has been a household name in the Netherlands, featuring a massive Guitar Festival at the Zuiderzee Museum and two concert series in Enkhuizen.

Raised in Brabant and trained at the conservatory in Rotterdam, his musical journey began with instrumental music. It was precisely in that music that he found the freedom that still draws him in: space for emotion, spontaneity, and stories that need no words.
Although he is currently active primarily as a guitarist with Suzan & Freek and has played in various bands for many years, the acoustic guitar remains his *safe space* and greatest love. That personal quest took shape in 2024 with his debut album *Safe Space*: an instrumental album in which emotion and stillness take center stage. Inspired by guitarists such as Julian Lage, Bryan Sutton, and James Taylor, he seeks out music that isn’t confined by fixed forms but arises from feeling. Because where words fall short, the guitar takes over.
