All the Pleasures is a performance and album inspired by different songs of the 17th-century English composer Henry Purcell, in which themes such as the night, sensuality and lust are recontextualised through a nocturnal melange of voices, cello and electronica. It is a collaboration between multimedia artist-singer Robin Coops and cellist-producer René van Munster. The two started working together during the 2020 pandemic, inspired by the timelessness of Purcell’s sensual lyrics. Exchanging ideas and sending recordings back and forth, this virtual exchange in turn inspired an overlapping theme of sensuality within cyberspace, which will be explored in a film that will be published in 2024, made entirely in VR-chat by Coops.
All the Pleasures is released on 7 Mountain Records and available on all digital platforms.
Robin and René will be joined on stage by Chiel Busscher on electronics. This performance transcends boundaries of genre and shows that Purcell’s lyrics belong as much in 17th century opera as they do in a modern-day club setting. The night is now. Welcome to All the Pleasures.

On June 15, 2024, the third edition of the Dag van de Componist will take place. On that day, concerts will be given throughout the Netherlands by composers, musicians, music lovers, venues, ensembles and companies with a special focus on music composed in the Netherlands.
As part of the Dag van de Componist, there will be two concerts in the Batavierhuis Theaterzaal on Saturday, June 15, 2024: Rotterdam Music Route’ and ‘All The Pleasures’.
Each of the concerts can be attended separately for a ticket price of €12.50 A passe-partout costs €20 and gives you access to both concerts in the Batavierhuis.

All the Pleasures is een concert en album geïnspireerd door verschillende liederen van de 17e-eeuwse Engelse componist Henry Purcell, waarin thema’s zoals de nacht, sensualiteit en lust worden hergecontextualiseerd door een nachtelijke mengeling van stemmen, cello en elektronica. Het is een samenwerking tussen multimedia-kunstenaar-zanger Robin Coops en cellist-producer René van Munster.
