‘Views from Dutch Trains’ is an inspiring musical project that highlights the social and ecological impact of train travel in the Netherlands. The experience of train travel is transformed into a musical journey that calls for a more environmentally conscious lifestyle, with unexpected human encounters playing a central role.
Since their debut concert at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam in 2016, Mallet Collective has been an integral part of the international music scene. The ensemble is known for its unique concerts and innovative concert formats, in both traditional and unconventional locations. A shared passion for the marimba and the ongoing search for the highest possible sound quality make Mallet Collective an extremely balanced and distinctive musical entity.

Nieuwe muziek van o.a. Sporck, Kruidhof, Fiumara, Jacob ter Veldhuis
‘Views from Dutch Trains’ is een inspirerend project over de sociale en ecologische impact van treinreizen in Nederland. De ervaring van treinreizen wordt getransformeerd naar een muzikale reis, die oproept tot een milieubewustere levensstijl waarbij onverwachte menselijke ontmoetingen centraal staan.
Sinds het debuutconcert in het Concertgebouw Amsterdam in 2016 is Mallet Collective uitgegroeid tot een integraal onderdeel van de internationale muziekscene. Het staat bekend om het uitvoeren van unieke concerten en concertformaten op ongebruikelijke locaties. Een gezamenlijke passie voor de marimba en een constant streven naar het leveren van de fraaiste geluidskwaliteit maken Mallet Collective tot een uiterst gebalanceerd en onderscheidend ensemble.
