The Skypainters’ music can be described as pictures without beginning and ending. They draw very important emotional moments of their life in the form of music. When they play their
music, they relive these moments again. You don’t know the story behind each composition and they’re not going to reveal it to you. However, you’ll feel the emotions and feelings behind it. You can match these
emotions with some moments of your life. And next time, when you’ll listen to The Skypainters’ music, you can relive your moments with them.
The Skypainters perform original music. Stylistically, the music can be described as a unique fusion of emotional elements of Modern Jazz and intriguing aspects of Romantic Classical music, coming together creating one single entity. And we call it Impressionistic Jazz. The Skypainters project was founded in Groningen in 2017, by composer, guitar player Kirill Dumchenko. Currently the project is based in Groningen and performs in different venues and festivals.
