Gara Duo is an ensemble created to give voice to contemporary repertoire through commissions, self-written arrangements, and original compositions. The duo consists of violinist Iryna Neporozhnya Osnach and cellist Jorge Municio Corcho.
Sofia Gubaidulina’s Rejoice! is the core of the concert program, inviting the audience to enjoy and reflect on the nature of sound in general, and that of string instruments in particular. Joy and sorrow, the divine and the human, are presented through a polished compositional technique that articulates this honest and profound musical work.
Paraísos Perdidos (Laura Vega), Dos Piezas Griegas — I. Delicadamente (Antón García Abril, arranged by Jorge Municio), and Miniaturas Marinas (Iryna Neporozhnya Osnach) complete the program of this colourful concert, offering the audience a glimpse into the variety of neoclassical language from the perspective of four different composers.

Gara Duo is een ensemble dat werd opgericht om hedendaags repertoire een stem te geven via opdrachten, zelf geschreven arrangementen en originele composities. Het duo bestaat uit violist Iryna Neporozhnya Osnach en cellist Jorge Municio Corcho.
Rejoice! van Sofia Goebaidoelina vormt de kern van het concertprogramma en nodigt het publiek uit om te genieten en te reflecteren op de aard van klank in het algemeen, en die van strijkinstrumenten in het bijzonder. Vreugde en verdriet, het goddelijke en het menselijke worden gepresenteerd via een verfijnde compositorische techniek die dit eerlijke en diepgaande muzikale werk vormgeeft.
Paraísos Perdidos (Laura Vega), Dos Piezas Griegas — I. Delicadamente (Antón García Abril, gearrangeerd door Jorge Municio) en Miniaturas Marinas (Iryna Neporozhnya Osnach) vervolledigen het programma van dit kleurrijke concert en bieden het publiek een inkijk in de verscheidenheid van de neoklassieke muzikale taal vanuit het perspectief van vier verschillende componisten.
