Op zaterdag 11 oktober 2025 keert het jaarlijkse mini-festival BATAFEST terug naar het Batavierhuis.
Tijdens BATAFEST kun je al dwalend door het huis op ontdekkingstocht langs muzikale hoogstandjes, voorstellingen, korte films en nog veel meer. Deze editie — ‘COLLABORATORIUM’ — benadrukt de diversiteit van de internationale en genre-rijke gemeenschap van muzikanten die het Batavierhuis herbergt.
In ‘COLLABORATORIUM’ gaan Batavieren nieuwe muzikale ontmoetingen aan met elkaar en het publiek. Dit belooft uitdagende combinaties van muziek en melodieuze, harmonische of ritmische confrontaties tussen instrumenten.
Om 13:00 start het programma met steeds op een andere plek een nieuw mini-concert en er zijn doorlopend filmvertoningen en installaties in het huis te vinden. Ook vindt er van 14:00 tot 15:00 speciaal voor kinderen van 3 tot 10 jaar een workshop plaats waar zij onder begeleiding van de Batavieren al spelenderwijs een muziekstuk creëren. Ervaar jazz, wereldmuziek, folk, elektronische muziek, klassiek en pop en geniet ondertussen van een hapje en een drankje.
Een ticket kost € 5,- en geeft je toegang tot het gehele programma. Deuren openen om 12:45.

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the annual mini-festival BATAFEST returns to the Batavierhuis.
During BATAFEST, you can wander through the house and discover musical highlights, performances, short films and more. This edition — ‘COLLABORATORIUM’ — emphasizes the diversity of the international and genre-rich community of musicians the Batavierhuis harbors.
In ‘COLLABORATORIUM’, Batavieren engage in new musical encounters with one another and the audience. This promises challenging combinations of music and melodic, harmonic, or rhythmic confrontations between instruments.
The program starts at 1:00 p.m. with a new mini-concert at a different location each time, and there will be continuous film screenings and installations throughout the house. From 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., there will also be a workshop especially for children aged 3 to 10, where they can create a piece of music in a playful way under the guidance of the Batavieren. Experience jazz, world music, folk, electronic music, classical, and pop while enjoying a snack and a drink.
A ticket costs €5 and gives you access to the entire program. Doors open at 12:45.
