Maria Dimova is an experienced artist and has been singing and making music since an early age. Growing up, she pursued a career as a professional singer and musician.
After university, Maria gained a lot of experience working with various music companies, regiments and theater groups in Odessa, some of which are very renowned in the cultural sphere in Ukraine. For example, the Bessarabian group and the Odessa Academic Russian Drama Theater, where she had a role as a musical actress and choreographer.
Furthermore, Maria is very active as a singing teacher. Five years ago, she opened her own studio in Kyiv called Studio Voice Maria, with which she studied music, performed concerts, and gave singing and dancing lessons.
Maria was also engaged in organizing international festivals and was a member of the jury of the vocal festival in Kyiv. In this role, she worked with many different artists from Ukraine, as well as from other countries.
Life took an unforeseen turn when the war in Ukraine began, forcing Maria to flee her homeland. She arrived in the Netherlands, finding refuge in Rotterdam, which has been her home for 2.5 years and a place of resilience and strenght. Here, she found friends, support, and new possibilities.
Maria has held more than 50 charity concerts, helping her country. She wrote the song ‘To Live‘, filled with pain, hope and faith for her people. As she puts it herself: her front is music, her weapon is a song.
Recently, Maria joined the Batavierhuis, a place where she can focus on creating her own music and personal development as a singer and musician. For Maria not only creating music is important, but also recording and performing new songs. She understands the importance to cooperate with other musicians and the need for financial support. That is why she is constantly working on building a network in the Netherlands, step by step.
