Federico Castelli and David Gram are the leading voices of the band Flotsam which is releasing its debut album earlier next year. In this intimate concert Castelli’s lyrical guitar style is enhanced by David Gram’s ethereal sounds on pedal steel and that creates a unique nostalgic country/western vibe mixed with jazz.
This duo has its roots in the realm of Americana, country/western and surf music, mixed with melodies full of imaginary reminiscent of Ennio Morricone’s film music and the raw sounds of Tom Waits. The repertoire consists of Twangy and singable guitar compositions, as well as country and western rhythms.
