‘Leonardo Prieto Ensemble’, is het project van de componist en multi-instrumentalist Leonardo Prieto, gestart in Nederland in 2018 als resultaat van zijn masterstudie aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium, Codarts. De muziek is geïnspireerd door de klassieke, jazz en mexicaanse invloeden die tegelijkertijd de kernelementen zijn van Leonardo als muzikant. Het ensemble wordt gevormd door muzikanten van hoog niveau uit Nederland, Oostenrijk, Spanje, Duitsland en Mexico die ook het albumdebuut ‘Sembrando’ hebben opgenomen dat in 2021 zal verschijnen.
Het project brengt dit jaar een nieuw album uit en we zijn erg blij dat we tijdens World Music Nights een voorproefje van dit album kunnen geven!

‘Leonardo Prieto Ensemble’, is the project of the composer and multi-instrumentalist Leonardo Prieto, started in The Netherlands in 2018 as a result of his master studies at Rotterdam Conservatory, Codarts. The music is inspired by the classical, jazz and mexican influences which at the same time are the core elements of Leonardo as a musician. The ensemble is conformed by high level musicians from Holland, Austria, Spain, Germany and Mexico who also recorded the album debut ‘Sembrando’ to be released in 2021.
The project is releasing a new album this year and we are very happy to give a little preview of this album at World Music Nights!
