This year’s edition of CHURCH MUSIC is created in collaboration with Klankvorm. Together, they bring forward an evening shaped specifically for the church’s unique acoustic and architectural character. Four artists draw from diverse sonic traditions and experimental approaches, letting their work respond directly to the space itself. From acoustic resonance to sacred aesthetics, every element of the performances is attuned to its surroundings; blurring the lines between the visceral and the transcendental.
𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃
𝙍𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙍 – 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣
Rotor is an experimental audiovisual project founded in 2017 by Rotterdam-based artists Eelco Ottenhof and Joris Strijbos. The duo explores the interplay between sound, movement, and light, creating immersive environments that blur the boundaries between installation and performance. For CHURCHMUSIC x Klankvorm, Rotor presents the new audiovisual performance Linear Horizon, in which image and sound come together in seamless synchronization.

Following their initial collaboration for Conflux Festival 2025, Bernat Boronat, Lucija Gregov, Christine Cornwell, and Ruben Kotkamp return to work together, attuning their practice to the acoustics and spatial presence of the Paradise Church. Rooted in improvisation, the group explores the contrast between the earthly and the transcendental, using each artist’s individual practice as a vehicle for friction and convergence.
𝙉𝙤𝙖𝙝 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙣
Noah Cedar Sherrin is a composer and sound artist from a small island on the west coast of Canada, now based between Berlin and Montréal. His work spans music and sound design for linear and interactive media, experimental music releases, site-specific sound installations, digital lutherie, and location recording projects.
𝙋𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙒𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙞
Puck Wacki is an interdisciplinary artist and musician based in Rotterdam, active in Rotterdam and The Hague. In her artistic practice, she explores how people relate to human-designed systems and machines, including abstract constructs such as time.
In her performances, Wacki dissects and manipulates machines to explore and redefine their meaning by placing them in new contexts and functions. These performances operate at the intersection of sound art, experimental music, and installation, revealing the tension between the technical and the musical.

De editie van CHURCH MUSIC van dit jaar is tot stand gekomen in samenwerking met Klankvorm. Samen brengen zij een avond die speciaal is afgestemd op het unieke akoestische en architectonische karakter van de kerk. Vier artiesten putten uit uiteenlopende muzikale tradities en experimentele benaderingen, waarbij hun werk rechtstreeks inspeelt op de ruimte zelf. Van akoestische resonantie tot sacrale esthetiek: elk element van de optredens is afgestemd op de omgeving, waardoor de grenzen tussen het zintuiglijke en het transcendentale vervagen.
