Ramon was born in Holguín, Cuba, and has been living in the Netherlands for over twenty years. He is regarded as a leading Cuban jazz pianist, known for his expressive, virtuosic playing and strong melodic signature. Ramon has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller, and Chucho Valdés. In 2018, Ramón Valle won the Cubadisco Award for The Art of Two (Best Instrumental Album), and in 2019 he received an honorary award for his work as an artist, composer, and educator.
During this concert, Ramon collaborates with young artists from the Dutch jazz and world music scene, performing several of his arrangements. A jam session will follow after the concert.

Hij geldt als een toonaangevende Cubaanse jazzpianist, bekend om zijn expressieve, virtuoze spel en sterke melodische signatuur. Ramon deelde het podium met grootheden als Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller en Chucho Valdés. In 2018 won Ramón Valle de Cubadisco Award voor The Art of Two (Beste Instrumentale Album) en in 2019 ontving hij een ereprijs voor zijn werk als artiest, componist en docent.
Tijdens dit concert werkt Ramon samen met jonge makers uit de Nederlandse jazz- en wereldmuziekscene, en spelen zij enkele van zijn arrangementen. Na het concert volgt een jamsessie.
