Hanna Marieke is a pianist, vocalist and spoken word artist who invites listeners into a world of imagination, wonder and beauty. Her debut album Rhythms of Grace (2021) was praised as “surprisingly strong and adventurous” and introduced her sensitive musicality and imaginative approach to composition. During her master’s at Codarts Rotterdam, she developed storytelling jazz — a unique fusion of jazz, spoken word and personal storytelling.
With her new album Quest For Beauty, she brings this vision to life. The concert unfolds as a contemplative journey around an urgent question: where can beauty be found in a world marked by restlessness, loss and haste? Through poetic language and modern jazz textures, she invites audiences to slow down, become still and reflect, discovering a form of beauty that does not reside in perfection, but in the depths of being human.
